MXit Evo is an Internet-based instant messenger. Originally developed as a tool to be used in mobile phones, this version will allow you to access this community through your PC. Other versions of this program work under other platforms, such as MAC (through the Adium client), a Web Widget, or through Pidgin. Any user can log in under any of the clients, and any user will be able to communicate with other users using any platform.
Besides the common features that you would expect from any instant messenger, MXit provides you a new feature: you can access some services by interacting with them as if they were contacts. Those services will display in options menu, and from there, pressing the option number that you want, you will be able to find friends, change your avatar, send a postcard, or buy things. You can even talk to a "robot" friend (a simulated contact).
You must register for free to use this MXit. When you get an account, they will give you 500 Moola, the community’s virtual currency, which you can use in the Tradepost service to buy games, skins, send cards, and more.
- It is free.
- It allows you to communicate with users using a wide range of platforms.
- There is not a version for Linux, yet.
